Kosciusko County is working hard to improve broadband internet access, and make it easier for people who live in rural parts of the county.
In an interview with Inside Indiana Business, Alan Tio with the Kosciusko County Economic Development Corporation says access to broadband internet has gone from being a luxury to a necessity.
He says a good portion of the county has access, but there are other areas that are underserved, which makes it hard for businesses to operate or schools to do e-learning days and students to do homework.
Tio says the Economic Development Corporation has reached out to a number of broadband providers, like Xfinity and Metronet, to go over who has internet access, and where they need to expand and how to do that.
