Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Dustin W. Hecht, 44, 1725 N. 300 West, Rochester, was taken into custody Friday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of possession of marijuana. He was held on a $150 cash bond.
• Chase A. Brown, 24, 1010 Wabash Ave., Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody by city police at Main and 13th streets and later released on his own recognizance.
• Patrick L. Dimmock, 59, 115 Main St., Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated with a prior. He was taken into custody by state police in the 100 block of Main Street and held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond.
• Slylavecchio N. Hines, 25, South Bend, was taken into custody Saturday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving without ever receiving a license. He was held on a $100 cash bond.
• Ashley Kuhn, 38, 7538 S. 450 West, Kewanna, was taken into custody Saturday on a warrant issued out of Starke County.
• Michael V. Waller, 43, 1023 S. 1000 East, Akron, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving after having been judged a habitual traffic violator. He was taken into custody by city police in the 1000 block of Main Street and held without bond.
• Robert Williams, 30, Indianapolis, was taken into custody Saturday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. He was held on a $150 cash bond.
• Bruce W. Husted, 70, Hicksville, Ohio, was arrested Monday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. He was taken into custody by state police at State Road 25 and County Road 775 North and later released on his own recognizance.
• Guadalupe Villegas-Leanos, 33, Plymouth, was arrested Monday on preliminary charges of making a false identity statement, driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years and reckless driving. He was additionally taken into custody on a warrant issued out of St. Joseph County. He was arrested by state police at U.S. 31 and County Road 600 North and later released on his own recognizance.
• Antonio Huizar Jr., 44, Winamac, was arrested Tuesday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at State Road 14 and 17 and later released on his own recognizance.
Police Incidents
Animal calls
• At noon Friday, police received a complaint about constant dog barking at a property on the east side of Rock Lake. Owners advised they put the dogs in a garage due to multiple break-ins. They also advised they are in the process of moving, so the dogs are more active than usual.
• At 3:27 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a dog was attacking livestock in the area of State Road 14 and Division Road in Akron. Owners secured it and another dog, with no harm done to the cattle.
Welfare checks
• At 12:42 p.m. Friday, police received a report about a man being in the roadway with a shopping cart, not moving for vehicles, in the area of Old U.S. 31 and Olson Road. An officer subsequently made contact, advising him to stay off the roadway.
• Shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, police received a report that someone was possibly staying in a storage unit in the 400 block of Madison Street.
Fire call
• At 7:01 p.m. Saturday, police received a report of a small utility pole fire at Rochester Motel, 2147 Southway 31. A female later requested to speak with an officer because she believed a male staying there had something to do with it.
Wrecks
• A vehicle driven by Bryant Johnson, 55, of Indianapolis, wrecked around 7 p.m. Saturday, rolling over by the overpass at U.S. 31 and State Road 25. No serious injuries were reported, and the state highway department was notified to get salt trucks out as a result.
• A truck driven by Zachary Shultz, 31, of Rochester, wrecked at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday near 1292 E. Olson Road. Police records indicate that the truck flipped many times before coming to a rest on its side. No injuries were reported.
Fights
• At 11:16 p.m. Saturday, police received a report that a woman cut her arm and threw items during an altercation at a home in the area of county roads 550 North and 250 East. She was subsequently transported to Woodlawn Hospital, with 4C Health contacted for follow-up assistance.
• Shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, police received a report about an altercation between a man and woman at Rochester Place Apartments. It was determined to be verbal in nature.
Medical call
• At 2:23 p.m. Sunday, police escorted medics as they transported an infant to Woodlawn Hospital who was possibly experiencing a seizure.
Civil issue
• Shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, police received a report that a woman started punching and smacking windows of a car after learning that her book, which she left behind when staying at the warming center, had been thrown away. She had reportedly it about a month ago and multiple attempts were made for her to get it back, but she never responded.
