Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Bruce A. Freant, 49, 711 Madison St., Rochester, was arrested Friday on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy. He was taken into custody by state police at 11th and Madison streets and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Kristin E. Hurst, 36, Bourbon, was arrested Friday on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy. She was taken into custody with Freant and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Charles W. Harding, 66, 1409 College Ave., Rochester, was arrested Friday on a preliminary charge of driving after having been judged a habitual traffic violator. He was taken into custody by city police at 14th Street and College Avenue and held on a $7,500 surety or $1,000 cash bond.
• Caitlin N. Herder, 28, Bremen, was taken into custody Friday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of theft. She was picked up at the Marshall County Jail and held without bond.
• Nicholas M. Arzola, 34, Culver, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of criminal trespassing. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at 6747 N. 1000 West, Culver, after allegedly making threats. He was held on a $250 cash bond.
• Carrie R. Jenkins, 44, 1325 Wabash Ave., Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment. She was taken into custody by state police on Old U.S. 31, just south of U.S. 31, and later released on her own recognizance.
• Todd A. Vanderwall, 62, 1217 E. 550 North, Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies after wrecking a truck at Old U.S. 31 and County Road 350 North. He was held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond.
• Andrew Mwenitete, 51, Mishawaka, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of reckless driving, driving while intoxicated causing endangerment, driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more and driving without ever obtaining a license. He was taken into custody by state police at U.S. 31 and County Road 450 North and later released on his own recognizance.
• Darvin William Rodriguez Reyes, 25, Indianapolis, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of possession of false government identification, driving while intoxicated causing endangerment and driving without ever obtaining a license. He was taken into custody by state police after a vehicle slide-off at county roads 400 North and 750 West. He was later released on his own recognizance.
• Mercedes Del Carmen Salmeron Matamoros, 43, 2458 W. Olson Road, Rochester, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment and driving without ever obtaining a license. He was taken into custody with Reyes and later released on his own recognizance.
• Robert A. Adkins, 39, 1169 S. 400 East, Rochester, was arrested Monday on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of a handgun with a prior conviction within 15 years. He was taken into custody by city police at Dollar General, 1419 Main St., and held on a $7,500 surety bond.
Police Incidents
Assault
• At 11:23 a.m. Friday, a Fulton woman reported that she believes her stepson was inappropriate with her 16-year-old daughter while the two were left alone.
Fights
• At 12:11 p.m. Saturday, a Rochester man reported that his son was pushing him around. Police records indicate that an altercation began over the son not being able to pay rent. He had since left the residence, with an incident requested by the father.
• At 7:37 p.m. Saturday, police received a report of a fight involving two men at Dunkin', 389 Rochester Crossing Drive. The altercation was determined to be verbal in nature.
• Shortly after noon Sunday, a woman residing in the 500 block of Mitchell Drive reported wanting a man removed from her home following an altercation. The man was subsequently offered a ride, but refused to stay in a hotel.
• At 6:18 a.m. Monday, police received a report of a domestic dispute involving threats of lighting a house on fire in the Macy area. The altercation was determined to be verbal in nature, with 4C Health contacted for a follow-up assessment.
Fire call
• At 1:21 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to a report of a barn fire at 8511 S. 1100 West, Kewanna.
Complaints
• At 1:28 a.m. Saturday, a woman reported that someone has been sending sexually explicit pictures to her cellphone.
• Shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday, police received a complaint that someone has been driving a tractor through a yard at 4634 N. 500 West. A follow-up report was made Monday after witnessed again.
• At 7:37 p.m. Saturday, police received a complaint about someone shooting guns in the area of county roads 900 South and 300 West near Fulton. An officer subsequently made contact with a man, who was advised not to shoot until he had a proper backstop.
Citizen assist
• Shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday, police received a report that a man had nude photos of a juvenile. Additionally, there were other allegations made about threats made online and involving a gun. The Department of Child Services was subsequently notified.
• At 4:42 p.m. Friday, someone requested to speak with an officer about a 15-year-old girl being in a relationship with an 18 or 19-year-old man.
Wrecks
• A fire truck driven by Gary Rensberger, 69, of Akron, went through a garage door around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Henry Township Volunteer Fire Department, 206 W. Rochester St., Akron.
• A vehicle driven by Rebekah Johnson, 26, of Rochester, left the roadway into a field around 7 a.m. Sunday near 7746 S. State Road 17, Kewanna. Her vehicle was reportedly stuck on a fence after the crash.
• At 7:19 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of a vehicle slide-off at State Road 114 and County Road 450 West, Kewanna.
• A semi-truck driven by Blake Andrews, 28, of Lake Charles, was damaged after a slide-off around 9:30 a.m. Sunday at State Road 25 and County Road 900 South
• A vehicle driven by Stephen Ziegert, 69, of Grass Creek, hit a utility pole around 2 p.m. Sunday at State Road 114 and County Road 250 West. Police records indicate that he was subsequently transported to Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
• At 5:16 p.m. Monday, police received a report that a vehicle slide-off damaged a dog kennel, fencing and a mailbox at 5647 E. 500 North.
Harassment
• At 10:05 p.m. Sunday, police received a report that a woman threatened a volunteer coordinator over the phone after being told that she would not be allowed to stay at the county's warming shelter at Faith Outreach Center, 1125 E. Ninth St.
