Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Donald W. Chafin, 30, Peru, was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended with a prior. He was taken into custody at the jail and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Brian C. Poliquin, 53, Rochester, was arrested Friday on preliminary charges of possession of stolen property and theft with a prior. He was taken into custody by city police following a report of shoplifting at Walmart, 2395 Main St., and held on a $2,500 surety or $500 cash bond.
• Cory Anthony Scott Riley, 32, 506 Mitchell Drive, Apt. 15, Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.15 percent or more. He was taken into custody by city police at Wabash Avenue and Jackson Boulevard and later released on his own recognizance.
• Braiden C. Rush, 27, 3724 E. 200 North, Rochester, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at home and held without bond.
• Jeremy J. Rush, 44, 7269 W. 1250 South, Akron, was arrested Saturday on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was taken into custody with Braiden Rush and held without bond.
• Desean Jakes, 28, South Bend, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of possession of marijuana. He was picked up at the St. Joseph County Jail and held without bond.
• Patricia J. Meeks, 26, 4211 N. 200 West, Rochester, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with probation revocation on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at home and held on a $1,000 cash bond.
• Haley J. Miller, 21, 1486 S. Park Road, Rochester, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with theft. She was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies at home and held on a $7,500 surety or $1,000 cash bond.
• Joe W. Teller, 19, 1100 Park Road, Lot 11, Rochester, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury, sexual misconduct with a minor and sexual battery. He was taken into custody at Rochester Police Department and held without bond.
Police Incidents
Medical call
• At 3:20 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a 12-year-old boy lost consciousness on a school bus in the area of Sixth Street and Sweetgum Road. He was subsequently transported to Woodlawn Hospital.
Fight
• At 11:41 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a fight between a man and woman at Rochester Motel, 2147 Southway 31, with one party allegedly threatening to kill the other. Both parties later advised the altercation was verbal only, and neither had signs of injury.
Cited
• At 8:33 a.m. Saturday, a driver was cited with speeding 103 mph in a 55 mph zone at State Road 25 and County Road 400 South.
Wrecks
• Vehicles driven by Rodney L. Clark, of Rochester, and Adam L. Spencer, of Twelve Mile, collided at approximately 3:40 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Walmart, 2395 Main St.
• Vehicles driven by Antonio Cruz-Gutierrez, of Rochester, and Hayley E. Fry, of Culver, collided at approximately 6:10 p.m. Saturday at Burger King, 2440 Main St.
Looking out
• At 11:22 a.m. Sunday, a Great Clips employee informed police that the doors to the AT&T, 2020 Main St., were unlocked and no one was in the store or appeared to be around. A manager was subsequently contacted and an employee arrived to lock the doors.
• At 4:42 p.m. Sunday, an officer located a bag of food and a blanket on the ground in the 200 block of West Eighth Street. The items belonged to a woman at Heartland Church, 321 E. Eighth St., and were returned to her by the officer.
