Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Matthew V. Bloom, 35, Warsaw, was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated causing endangerment and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at 18th and Main streets and later released on his own recognizance.
• Gregory P. Brown, 40, Carmel, was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of dealing marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop by Rochester city police at Main ad Willis streets and later released on his own recognizance.
• Sandra K. Jimenez, 48, Kokomo, was arrested Sunday on warrants charging her with four counts of probation revocation on original charges of residential entry, battery, invasion of privacy and theft. She was picked up at the Howard County Jail and held without bond.
• Ryan T. Lewis, 21, 529 E. 11th St., Rochester, was arrested Sunday no a preliminary charge of domestic battery. He was arrested by city police at home and held without bond.
• Sarah E. Lewis, 20, 529 E. 11th St., Rochester, was arrested Sunday on preliminary charges of domestic battery and underage drinking. She was taken into custody with Ryan Lewis and also held without bond.
• Antjuan S. Mason, 44, Indianapolis, was arrested Sunday on a warrant issued out of Lake County. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop by Rochester city police at U.S. 31 and Third Street to await extradition.
Police Incidents
Wrecks
• A vehicle driven by Jon Lackey, 56, of Rochester, crashed into a utility pole around 8 a.m. Friday in front of 2761 N. State Road 25. He was checked by medics at the scene and given courtesy transport home.
• Vehicles driven by Triscia H. Cochran and Timmy A. Hawkey were involved in a minor collision around 2 p.m. Saturday at Main and 18th streets.
Animal calls
• At 4:28 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a dog in the 1400 block of Wabash Avenue is frequently out loose and unable to be approached. A resident in the area was reportedly able to get the dog secured in their garage for its owners to come pick up. Animal control was to follow up.
• At 2:44 p.m. Saturday, police received a report about two loose dogs in the 1500 block of Main Street. Once contained, owners were advised there would be citations if it is an ongoing issue.
Fraud
• At 5:19 p.m. Friday, a woman requested a fraud packet at the sheriff's office after attempting to buy a car through Facebook Marketplace. The seller, who she thought was a friend through church, had requested she send $1,000 for them to hold the car. She found out that friend's account had been hacked.
Crisis response
• At 6:48 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a woman was making suicidal comments after mixing pills and alcohol. She was reportedly very intoxicated and appeared to have consumed vitamins. She was transported to Woodlawn Hospital, where a crisis team of 4C Health was requested for follow-up assistance after being medically cleared.
Suspicious
• At 11:08 p.m. Friday, police received a report that a group of males were running between homes in Country Meadows. The caller additionally reported hearing one of them say, "Two trailers down, we'll try that one." An officer checked the area, but did not notice anything out of the ordinary.
• At 2:09 p.m. Sunday, a resident of Rochester Place Apartments reported that a man keeps knocking on their door, thinking that his girlfriend is hiding there and she's not. The man was not there upon an officer's arrival.
• At 6:25 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a man at Rochester City park was yelling and wanting to fight people as they walked by him. He was reportedly in a group that had eventually walked away.
Noise complaint
• At 12:11 p.m. Saturday, police received a complaint of loud music coming from a home in the 1700 block of Ewing Road. The music was reportedly not playing upon an officer's arrival, however, a resident in the area claimed it is an ongoing issue that is disturbing elderly neighbors.
Fight
• Shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, police received a report of a verbal altercation between a woman and the owner of a car wash at 2112 Main St. Police records indicate that she was refunded her money and advised not to return.
• At 8:03 p.m. Sunday, a man residing in the 1100 block of Monroe Street requested to speak with an officer about someone coming onto his property and yelling at him. A video of the incident was to be shared with police.
Cited
• A driver was cited with speeding 90 mph in a 60 mph zone during a traffic stop around 4 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 31 and County Road 400 South.
• A driver was cited with possession of marijuana during a traffic stop around 11 a.m. Sunday at Washington and Brown streets.
Drug trash
• Shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday, an officer was requested to dispose of a hypodermic needle found up against a curb in the 200 block of West Fifth Street.
Reckless driving
• Shortly before noon Sunday, police received a report that a pickup truck was being driven recklessly in the area of State Road 25 and County Road 500 North. It was later determined that the driver was learning to drive. They were only issued warnings.
Ordinance
• At 6:44 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of all-terrain vehicles being driven in the area of 10th and Pontiac streets in violation of city ordinance. They were not observed to be on the roadway by a responding officer.
