
Jail Bookings
The following people were recently booked at the Fulton County Jail:
• Ronnie G. Coplen, 58, Etna Green, was arrested Saturday on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and driving after having been judged a habitual traffic violator. He was stopped by Rochester city police at Jones Avenue and State Road 25 and held on a $7,500 surety or $1,000 cash bond.
• Andrea Potter, 18, Monterey, was arrested Saturday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. She was picked up in Starke County and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Brian D. Carpenter Jr., 33, Muncie, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. He was picked up at the Delaware County Jail and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Joseph E. Fansler, 24, Lakeville, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was picked up at the Kosciusko County Jail and held without bond.
• Maritza I. Perez, 30, South Bend, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while suspended. She was picked up at the St. Joseph County Jail and held on a $150 cash bond.
• Nicholas G. Donahue, 49, 204 E. 14th St., Rochester, was arrested Monday on a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct. He was taken into custody by Rochester city police at 213 Northgate Circle and later released on his own recognizance.

Bus passed
At 8:17 a.m. Friday, police documented a stop-arm violation by someone passing a bus with its stop arm extended at State Road 14 and County Road 1075 East.
Theft
• At 8:45 a.m. Friday, police received a report that a man's son is suspected of stealing from him and emptying bank accounts in the process.
Juvenile incident
• At 2:44 p.m. Friday, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Monroe Street on a report that a juvenile was upset and yelling. A warning was subsequently issued for vaping, with the juvenile released to mom.
Welfare check
• Shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, police received a request for a welfare check of a man at The Streamline, 201 E. Ninth St. He advised he was homeless and had nowhere to go.
Leaving the scene
• At 9:13 a.m. Saturday, police received a report that a vehicle driven by a Rochester man was found wrecked in Marshall County with its keys left inside. It reportedly went into a yard and hit a couple trees.
Dog bite
• At 9:32 a.m. Saturday, police received a report that an employee of Wilson Fertilizer & Grain, 408 E. Ninth St., was bit by a dog while on his way to work. The owner was subsequently issued a summons in reference to a dog bite with injury.
Trespassed
• Shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, an owner of Storage Village, 220 W. 18th St., requested a person living in a unit be issued a no trespassing warning.
Permit issue
• At 11:34 a.m. Saturday, police received a request to check on two people door-to-door soliciting along Fulton Avenue. They were determined to be with Nordic Energy and advised to contact city hall on Monday in reference to getting a permit.
Suspicious
Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, police received a report that a man was seen at Dairy Queen, 1420 E. Ninth St., with an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and an unrestrained child in the backseat. Police records indicate that he was later stopped and found not to be intoxicated.
Drug trash
• At 8:34 p.m. Sunday, a woman stopped at Rochester Police Department after finding pills inside a purse purchased at a thrift shop in Indianapolis.
Noise complaints
• On Sunday night, police received multiple noise complaints concerning loud music, screaming and banging from residents of Northgate Apartments.
Wreck
A vehicle driven by Hannah Fennell, 17, of Akron, rolled over in a crash around 6 a.m. Monday at State Road 14 and County Road 100 South in Akron. She was reportedly out of the vehicle at the time of the report. Police records indicate that a sign of Tim's Body Shop was struck in the crash, resulting in only minor scrapes.
