The registration deadline to vote in Indiana is Oct. 7, and early voting begins Oct. 8.

State Rep. Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) is encouraging citizens in his district to register to vote.

“September is National Voter Registration Month, and with the 2024 election cycle in full swing, it's important to know the registration deadline and how to find your polling location," he said in a recent news release. "Your vote is your voice, and I want you to have the chance to be heard.”

Hoosiers can also register to vote in person at their county clerk's office. Already registered? You can check or update your voter registration status, find your nearest voting location, and see who's on your ballot while on the state's website.

The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5, with polls open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Fulton County is a vote center county, meaning eligible voters can cast a ballot at any vote center in the county instead of voting at a designated polling place.

County residents have six locations to choose from, regardless of where they live. They are:

• Rochester West Vote Center, Fulton County 4-H Fairgrounds, Community Building, 1009 W. Third St.

• Rochester East Vote Center, Community Resource Center, 625 Pontiac St.

• Fulton County North Vote Center, Fulton County Museum, 37 E. 375 North.

• Fulton County South Vote Center, Fulton Community Center, 204 E. Dunn St.

• Fulton County East Vote Center, Akron Community Center, 815 E. Rural St.

• Fulton County West Vote Center, Kewanna Fire Station, 404 N. Toner St.

Those unable to vote in person can request an absentee ballot from the Fulton County Clerk’s Office or online at https://indianavoters.in.gov/MVPHome/PrintDocuments.

Citizen poll workers are critical in ensuring elections run smoothly and efficiently, from welcoming voters to verifying registrations and issuing ballots. If you're interested in serving your community as a poll worker, you will receive training and can earn compensation for your service. For more information, contact a party chair, the Fulton County Voter Registration Office at 574-223-7713 or the clerk's office at 574-223-4824.

Rep. Jordan closed his comments, saying, “I encourage you to participate in our election process and share this information with your family, friends, and neighbors.”
