A Warsaw man convicted of dealing drugs to a man who later fatally overdosed was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
Curtis Click, 36, Warsaw, was charged with dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a level 1 felony. Click's charge stem back to the fatal overdose in Warsaw last summer.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 29, 2023, Warsaw Police received a report of an unresponsive man who was not breathing. Shortly after, Christopher Noble, 42, of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police report stated that a syringe, drug paraphernalia and fentanyl was discovered in the basement where Noble had been found. A search of Noble's vehicle also resulted in the discovery of fentanyl that was found on a folded piece of paper and a dollar bill.

After a search of Noble's phone, officers soon discovered text messages that led them to Click's phone number. Text messages revealed that Click had discussed selling pills to Noble on multiple occasions prior to the death.

One text conversation, in particular, took place on June 28, 2023, just one day before Noble's fatal overdose.

During an interview with police, Click admitted to selling pills to Noble, but said he wasn't constantly out trying to deal drugs and didn't make a whole lot of money from doing so.

An autopsy report later revealed that fentanyl had been in Noble's system at the time of his death. Noble's cause of death was then officially ruled as accidental fentanyl toxicity.

On Monday, May 6, Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed handed Click a 25 year sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction, with 20 years executed and five years suspended on probation. Click has 236 days of jail time credit prior to his sentencing. The judge also ordered that Click must pay $4,765 in restitution for Noble's funeral expenses.
