Delores Jean Dobson, 85, of Winamac

Delores Jean Dobson, 85, of Winamac, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 9, 2024. 

She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. 

Jean was born on April 16, 1939 in Royalton, KY to the late James and Ellar [Stepp] Howard.  On December 18, 1954, she married the love of her life, James G. Dobson.  They were the proud parents of four children, Bill, Don, Brenda and Steve.  Jean and Jim shared a love for gospel music.  They enjoyed hosting /entertaining friends and family.  Jim passed away on August 10, 2010 after 55 years of marriage.

Jean was a member of the Wheatfield Pentecostal Church.  She lived to serve the Lord and did so quietly and humbly.  Jean was a proud homemaker who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Throughout the years, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards.  Most of all, Jean enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 10 AM – 12 Noon EDT Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Services will be held at 12 Noon EDT Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Thurman Ritchie officiating.

Burial will take place at Idle Cemetery in Francesville. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the Jim Dobson Memorial  Fund (through the Community Foundation of Pulaski County).
