Tam’la “Tami” Lynn Miller, 66, of Macy, passed away at 11:28 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.
Born December 14, 1957, in Grand Haven, Michigan, she was the daughter of Jeannie Ann (Kamhout) Bright and Elmer Bright. On June 26th 1976 in Middlebury Indiana, she was married to James R. Miller, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2024. Together, they owned a trucking business, where she helped with bookkeeping and driving the pilot car.
Growing up in Grand Haven, she developed a love for being near the water. Moving to South Mud Lake brought great joy as she was able to be near the water each day enjoying her favorite times boating and driving a golf cart around the lake. She could always find great joy being near the water, especially if it was a beach.
Survivors include her children, Brandon (Mandi) Rummler of Elkhart, Mandy Miller, Macy; Carla (Jeremy) Skiles, Rochester; and James (Julie) Miller, Twelve Mile; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and her canine companion, Milo; two brothers, Kenneth Rummler, Constantine, MI; Patrick Moyer, Constantine, MI; sister, and Barbara (Bradley) Kinney, Constantine, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carla Barrett.
The family is planning a joint memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on June 29th at 700 Riverside Dr. Constantine, MI 49042.
