
Betty Rose (Blackmer) Deurloo, 79, of Burlington, returned to her home in heaven with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 23, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with COPD.
She was born on June 9, 1945, in Glens Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Thema (McGann) Blackmer.
On August 12, 1972, she married Jake Deurloo in Palm Bay, Florida, and he survives.
Betty was a homemaker who cared for her husband and raised their two daughters. She was the ultimate caretaker of anybody around her. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, traveling, and camping. She cherished time spent with her family. She liked exploring Indiana on a motorcycle.
She is survived by her husband, Jake; children, Darlene and Debra; grandchildren, Seth, Alex, Zach, Kevin, April, Lawrence, and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Henry, Aliza, Eleanor, Esmae, and Seth Jr.; siblings, Marlene, Anna, Richard, and Ida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Buster, Bobby, Kenny, Paul; and sisters, Emma, Irma, Ethel, Shirley, and June.
Friends are invited to celebrate Betty’s life for a graveside service beginning at Noon Thursday March 27, 2025, at Burlington Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to a charity of your choice. Stout & Son Funeral Home – Neptune Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
