Irmgard “Irma” Lotte (Breda) Becraft, 88, of Kokomo, passed away 1:52 pm Friday September 6, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Germany on December 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Breda. Irma was married to Herbert Becraft for nearly 45 years and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2001.
Irma formerly worked at Cuneo and Kingston Press. She was a homemaker who cared for her husband and raised her daughter. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the VFW Women’s Auxilliary. She enjoyed dancing, listening to country music, attending the casino, and playing euchre.
Irma is survived by her daughter, Lori Green; grandchildren, Brianna Becraft, Chris Becraft; great-grandchildren, Rylee Lea, Runnar Lea, Zi’air Becraft, Ruth Becraft, Jy’ree Harmon-Becraft, Ruebn Becraft, Riah Becraft, T.N., Stacy Nelson, Jody Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; husband, Herbert; and special friend, Bruce Price.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday September 12, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home – Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, IN 46901.
Funeral service will begin at 1 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.
