Paul Alan Jewell, 74, of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at his home.
He was born on October 7, 1949, the son of the late Albert Boyd and Winifred J. (Butler) Jewell. On October 23, 1993, he married Anna Marlene Voorhis, and she survives.
Paul graduated from Haworth High School in 1969. He proudly served in the United States Army earning the rank Specialist 4th Class. Paul worked for Chrysler for 33 years as a Tool Inspector. In his younger years he worked with special needs children. Paul loved to play golf and to go fishing. When his son Arron started wrestling for Kokomo High School, he picked up videography and continued for fifteen years after. Paul was a member of Four-Square Gospel, Grace Community Church, VFW Post 1152, and the Eagles Lodge.
Along with his wife, Anna Jewell, Paul is survived by his children, Arron (Morgan) Stump, and Amber (Patrick) Cage; grandchildren, Bailee Stump, Brady Stump, Berklee Stump, Brylee Stump, Bentley Stump, Royce Cage, Jagger Cage, Alyssa Begley, and Chase Begley; brothers, Charlie (Felicia) Jewell, and Bill (Shirley) Jewell; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Begley; and siblings, Glen Jewell, Guy Jewell, and Connie Jewell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Mike Rush officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery with military honors being provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the funeral home.
