The city of Bridgeport could have a new superintendent soon.
The city council, after an executive session Tuesday evening at City Hall, moved to offer the position to David Miller.
The action was taken upon recommendation of the personnel committee.
If Miller accepts, he would begin his new duties on Monday, March 24th.
The city had advertised the opening for several weeks.
The council also received a preliminary draft of the fiscal year 2025-26 budget.
Mayor Tyler Griffin told GIANT-FM News that it is still a work in progress by the finance committee, but is expected to be balanced.
He also indicated that discussion of an ordinance to govern food trucks inside the city limits was tabled for further study and review.
