Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum has informed WAKO News that contracted crews working for Vincennes Water Utilities are closing First Street
The closeure between Hart Street and the railroad tracks is to allow for the replacement of a large sanitary sewer manhole. With Harrison Street being one way and the lack of other roads in that area, there is no alternate outlet for traffic once Indianapolis Avenue is crossed. The closure and project work is anticipated to take up to 2 weeks to complete.
