TRUMP ON ILLINOIS PRIMARY BALLOT

wako news

The Illinois State Board of Elections has ruled that former president Donald Trump will be on the ballot for the primary election. The eight member board made up for four Republicans and four Democrats voted unanimously for the decision. Trumps status for the primary was thrown into doubt after a group of Illinois voters attempted to keep his name off the ballot, citing the 14th amendment "insurrection" clause. But the board indicated that it did not have constitutional authority to ban Trump. Rulings in the states of Maine and Colorado were in favor of keeping Trump off the ballot, but those will be argued in court.
