Ada Irene Griesemer, 87 of Bridgeport, IL passed away on September 13, 2024 at Aperion Care. She was born on February 13, 1937 to parents O.C Wilson and Sally Jane Wilson. She was happily married to Glen Griesemer on September 20, 1955.
She is survived by her eight children: Glen Jr. (Kimberly) Griesemer, Cindy (Tom) Hart, Michel Griesemer, Jan (Rick) Stivers, Doug (Jackie) Griesemer, Shawn Griesemer, Shannon (Julie) Griesemer, Jason Griesemer, many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Ada was lovingly known as “Granny” to all her family. She adored the babies and small children of the family. She enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and loved gathering with family to play a game of euchre or two. She was a feisty woman who didn’t take any flak and wasn’t afraid to dish it back. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be missed greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents O.C and Sally Wilson, husband Glen Griesemer, and siblings: Etta Shipley, May Johnson, Cloyde Wilson, John Wilson, and “Curly” Wilson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow immediately at Bridgeport City Cemetery.
