Bennie Francis Mason, Jr., age 62 of St. Francisville, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Bennie Francis Mason, Jr., age 62 of St. Francisville, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born the son of Bennie Francis Mason, Sr. and his wife Matilda Faye (Kendall) Mason.
After graduating high school, Ben entered into the United States Navy and served his country. Upon returning from the Navy, he began working as a Union Boilermaker and worked out of the Local 374 Indiana.
Ben loved music. He loved to listen to it, play it, sing it, and write it...especially gospel music. His favorite artist was Rich Mullins. He was known to sing at many of the local churches. He had a passion for Jesus Christ and wanted to tell others of his love and faith.
His surviving family includes: his two children- Jordan Mason and wife Tiffany of Mt. Carmel and Samantha Mason of Columbia, MO; two siblings- Timmy Mason of St. Francisville and Matilda Steffey of St. Francisville; three grandchildren- Jace Wells, Wyatt Mason, and Rhys Mason; and four nephews- Aaron Mason, Jacob Mason, Cole Steffey, and Cody Steffey.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church of St. Francisville. Funeral services are Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the church as well. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is assisting his family during their time of loss.
