Betty Aline Doss, age 83 of Lawrenceville, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Gentle Care of
Vincennes, IN. She was born December 2, 1940, in Monroe City, Indiana to Walter S. McCoy and his wife
Garnet (Johnson) McCoy.
As a young woman, she graduated from Monroe City High School. Betty was a member of the Monroe City
Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time sewing and crafting.
Betty took pride in being a homemaker for her family. She also had worked outside of the home as a secretary
of Red Hill State Park for eight years and also worked at Golden Rule.
Surviving family includes three daughters- Connie Ulrich and husband Johnny of Bridgeport, IL; Linda Durall
and husband Jack of Dawson Springs, KY; Janell Eaker and husband Wayne of Washington, Indiana: several
loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren and another on the way: and one
brother- Larry McCoy and wife Judy of Monroe City, IN.
Betty was preceded in death by: her parents- Walter and Garnet McCoy: one daughter- Lori Ann Doss: one
granddaughter- Loria Lynn Hunt: two sisters- Carol Miles and Dorothy Lane: and one step-daughter- Retha Kay
Alexander.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cunningham
Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take
place in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery near Claremont.
