Betty Ann McCammon, age 77 of Lawrenceville, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born August 5, 1946, in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Elbert Earl and Oka Mae (Daily) Kissling. On October 12, 1969, married Robert Linden McCammon in Henderson, KY. He preceded Betty in death. Betty was raised in the First Christian Church of Lawrenceville. She earned an associate degree from Wabash Valley College as a secretary. She was the “Glue” of her family and loved her bird that she’s had for many years. Surviving family includes: two daughters- Tracy Ann Farrar and fiancé Coy Vineyard of Lawrenceville, IL and Tammy Green and husband Bleu of Lawrenceville, IL: one brother-William Kissling and wife Anne of Greenwood, IN: four grandchildren- Ryan Farrar, Gage Leighty, Logan Leighty and Megan Leighty: two great-grandchildren- Layna and Lily Leighty with one more on the way: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents- Elbert Earl and Oka Mae Kissling: sister and brother-in-law- Gloria and Leon Griesemer. A visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center.
