Brenda Kay Mumaw, age 60, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her residence.
Brenda Kay Mumaw, age 60, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her residence. She was born on March 19, 1964 in Washington, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Mary Rosita (Hagerty) Lavely. She married Jeffery Mumaw on March 02, 1991, and he survives.
Brenda was a janitor at the Moose in Lawrenceville, a cook for Unit #20, and a cook for Lawrence County Camp Girls. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, doing yardwork, and listening to music. Family was very important to her, and she loved being a grandma.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffery; two daughters, Marie Reed and husband, Adam of Carthage, Illinois and Michelle Mumaw of Indianapolis, Indiana; three sisters, Anita Lavely of Loogootee, Indiana, Cindy Newman and husband, Edward of Loogootee, Indiana, and Deeanna Leffert and husband, Scott of Porter, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Persephone Reed and Johnathan Reed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM CDT on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM until the service hour of 6:00 PM CDT at the funeral home.
