Carol Ann Moore, age 79, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois.

Carol Ann Moore, age 79, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born on December 28, 1944 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Wendell and Geraldine (Mowrer) Caudell. She married Keith Moore on July 12, 1964, and he survives.

In Carol’s earlier years, she worked for General Telephone. She was a farmwife, and Keith and Carol were a team on the farm. She enjoyed cooking, and cooked for the hired hands and the community. She volunteered at the Sumner Care Center, with the Red Hill Cross Association, and for the Live Nativity at Beulah Harvest Church. She enjoyed attending the 4-H Fair and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Bethlehem New Light Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, David Caudell; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Caudell.

Survivors include her husband, Keith; three children, Julie Price and husband, Carl, Bryan Moore and wife, Jillian, and Kevin Moore and wife, Brandi all of Sumner, Illinois; one brother, Loy Caudell and wife, Ramona of Calhoun, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Linda Bennett Cochran of Sumner, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Taylor Alli and husband, Brock, Kati Camp and husband, Garrett, Matthew Jones and fiancé, Kendall, Laney Moore, Maycee Moore, Lance Moore, Mylee Moore, Layton Moore, and Molly Moore; and two great-grandchildren, Zaylee Alli and Gatlin Alli.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM CDT at the Beulah Harvest Church, located at 1040 Beulah Lane in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM CDT at the church. Burial will be in the Bell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Sign of the Kingdom-West or the Lawrence County Youth Livestock Inc. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
