Carolyn May Skipworth, age 80 of Bridgeport, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was born February 6, 1943, in Sumner to Vernon and Charlotte (Malone) Linder. After graduating from Sumner High School, Carolyn worked at local nursing home facilities, Suttle Apparatus in Lawrenceville, and Victor Dana of Robinson until she retired. She was a homemaker to her family, enjoyed cooking and gardening, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and enjoyed her church family. Surviving family includes: three children- Todd Skipworth and wife Darlene of Bridgeport, Sherry (Skipworth) Like of Princeton, IN, and Tim Skipworth and wife Ann of Princeton, IN: one sister- Pauline Schultz of Sumner: numerous loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents- Vernon and Charlotte Linder: one sister- Genevieve Brinkman: one brother- Lloyd Linder: and a grandson- Kevin Skipworth. A visitation will be held for Carolyn on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Sumner Cemetery.
