Charlotte Pauline Ferguson, age 93 of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at BridgePointe Health Campus of Vincennes, IN.
Charlotte Pauline Ferguson, age 93 of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at BridgePointe Health Campus of Vincennes, IN. She was born February 11, 1931, in Mattoon, IL to Mark and Dosha (Land) Anderson.
On October 17, 1950, she married Donald Wayne Ferguson in Carbondale, IL. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2019.
Charlotte was a member of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church and a devout Christian. She was a wonderful mother of five children. She loved sewing, cooking, and water walking. Charlotte was often a judge on the Election Board. She was an animal lover and really enjoyed feeding the colorful bird that visited her bird feeder. Along with that, she had a beautiful collection of African violets.
She is survived by: her five children- Tom Ferguson and his wife Karen, Mark Ferguson and his wife Margie, Vicki Rueger, Debbie Larson and her husband Dave, Celia Pearce and her husband Daniel; six grandchildren- Thomas Rueger, Bryan Rueger and his wife Candice, Chris Pearce and his wife Angelica Morales Pearce, Misti Ferguson, Andrew Larson and his wife Emma, and Jessica Larson; eight great-grandchildren- Musique Ferguson, Minglabelle Ferguson, Mirielle Ferguson, Tylen Rueger, Scarlette Rueger, Luka Pearce, Eleanor Pearce, and Paige Rueger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and nine siblings.
A visitation will be held at the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. A memorial service will follow immediately at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Petty Cemetery.
