Clarence Leslie Phillips, age 82 of Vincennes, IN and formerly of Lawrence County, IL, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Willow Manor of Vincennes, IN. He was born May 2, 1941, in Denison Township to Clarence and Stella (Goins) Phillips. Years ago, he had worked alongside his brothers in the oilfields. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by: his parents- Clarence and Stella Phillips; four brothers- David, Ves, Ralph, and John Phillips; four sisters- Mary Gould, Garnet Malone, Oma Phillips, and Louise Merrell; and one sister in infancy. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
