Donna Jeanne Brewer, age 70 of St. Francisville, passed away with loved ones by her side on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.

Donna Jeanne Brewer, age 70 of St. Francisville, passed away with loved ones by her side on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born February 8, 1955, in Vincennes, IN to Donald Earl Hough and his wife Norma Jean (Ellerman).

As a young woman, Donna married Fred Madden. They had three children together, Amy Jo, Michael, and Matthew. She later married Michael Brewer. Their marriage added his two boys, Jeremy and Josh, to the family as well as the addition of their daughter together, Stormy Brooke. 

Donna was a confirmed Lutheran and grew up in the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Vincennes. She was also a former member of the Free Methodist Church of St. Francisville.

While married to Fred Madden, she helped operate Madco Electric in Vincennes. She spent much of her life working in the hospitality and service industry. Many remember Donna from her years working at Gray’s, Charlie’s Smorgasbord, the White Kitchen, and the Boar’s Nest. She also devoted much of her career to healthcare while working for Addus Homecare and the Youth Village in Vincennes. 

Donna loved music…especially Michael Jackson. She also enjoyed gardening, watching crime shows (Law & Order), Facebooking, crafting, and most of all her grandkids. Kiyah “the Caboose” gave her grandma so much pride and enjoyment.

Those left to continue Donna’s legacy of love include: six children- Amy Jo Madden of Springfield, KY; Michael Madden and husband James Bertrand of Attica, IN; Matthew Madden of Attica, IN; Jeremy Brewer and wife Erin of Ashland, KY; Josh Brewer and wife Crystal of St. Francisville; and Stormy Brooke Brewer and significant other Travis Wells of St. Francisville: one sister- Margaret Hood and husband Gordon of Vista, CA: one brother- Stephen Davis and wife Denise of Treasure Island, FL: ten grandchildren- Andrew Madden and wife Cierra, Abigail Hernandez and husband Carlos, Lillian Madden, Olivia Madden, Eleanor Madden, Jadelyn Brewer, Jaycie Brewer, Jace Brewer, Kyiah Wells, and Kahyden Bishop: four great-grandchildren- Luka, Elijah, and Coulter Madden, Akari Hernandez, and one more on the way: and one granddog- Molly Mae.

She was preceded in death by: her parents- Donald and Norma Jean; husbands- Fred Madden and Michael Brewer; and one son- Andrew Lee Madden.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Free Methodist Church of St. Francisville from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
