Enid Marie Richardson, age 90, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born on September 19, 1932 in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Seth and Ruth (Montgomery) Sons. She married Carson William Richardson on September 09, 1950, and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2010. Enid was a homemaker. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Richardson Wholesale and Southtown Variety. She was a member of the Lawrenceville First Christian Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, cooking, as well as spending time with her family and their gatherings for Sunday lunch in her home. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; five brothers; five sisters; and one great-great-grandchild, Austin Zuber. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Salesman and husband, Warren of Flat Rock, Illinois and Angela Barmes and husband, Dan of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two brothers, Ralph Sons of Union City, Illinois and Harold Sons and wife, Joann of Fairfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Braden Salesman and wife, Holly, Heath Barmes and spouse, Terry, and Brooke Salesman; six great-grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Andrew Moore, Emily Duncan, Harley Salesman, Bill Lewis, and K.J. Zuber and husband, Sam; and two great-great-grandchildren, Landon Zuber and Colin Zuber. Private services will be conducted. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery.
