Isa Royer “Ra” Hussey, age 88 of Effingham, IL, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Effingham at Stonebridge Memory Care. She was born February 28, 1935, in Bridgeport to Harold Abner Royer and his wife Julia Belle (Bogard) Royer. Isa married Charles Hussey, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2021. She was delighted to spend time researching the many branches of her family’s genealogical tree. Isa truly enjoyed knowing who her family was and where they came from. Surviving family includes: two sisters- Yvonne Charleen Hussey of Vici, OK and Marilyn Ruth Grebbien and husband Gary of Simi Valley, CA: one brother- H. Keith Royer and wife Susan of Thousand Oaks, CA: six nieces and nephews: and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. There are no formal services planned at this time. Burial will take place at May Chapel Cemetery at a later date. Cunningham Funeral Home of Bridgeport is assisting with arrangements.
