John Franklin Pinnick, age 83 of Bridgeport, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
John Franklin Pinnick, age 83 of Bridgeport, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born on July 5, 1941 to Homer and Alma (Bledsoe) Pinnick.
On December 29, 1959, John married Sharon Sue Ridgely. Sue passed away April 21, 2011. They had shared 51 years of memories and love.
After graduating from high school, John served his country as a member of the United States Army. He went to work for Texaco Refinery until it closed. He then went to work at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Olney for 25 years until he retired.
John enjoyed spending his time fishing and fixing things. He was a Jack of all trades.
His family surviving him includes: one son- John F. Pinnick, Jr. and wife Gerri of Bridgeport; two grandchildren- Christy Emmons and husband Kelly of Bridgeport and Jaytee Pinnick of Bridgeport; and one great-grandchild- Ryalin Emmons. John was lucky enough to have a second family with Patricia Racki and her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great- grandkids.
He was preceded in death by: his parents- Homer and Elma Pinnick; his wife- Sharon Sue Pinnick; daughter- Theresa Pinnick; and siblings.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Graveside services will immediately follow at Bridgeport City Cemetery.
