Judith Lee Pinkstaff Petty, age 79, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:33 PM at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Judith Lee Pinkstaff Petty, age 79, of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:33 PM at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on March 23, 1945 in Russell Township, Illinois, the daughter of Odin ‘Catfish’ W. and Laura (Martin) Pinkstaff.

Judy worked for Golden Rule Insurance, Hardee’s in Vincennes, Ada Lees Candy Shop, and Merles Ice Cream Shop. Her memberships included BPW, where she was a past president, Campers and Hikers Association, White Squirrel Camping Club, and she was active in helping with Camp Fire Girls. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, camping, vacationing in the mountains; and spending time with her friend, Maxine Miller.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Peggy Pinkstaff, Darlene Hobbs, and Sherry Hunter; one grandchild, Briar Kinney; and one great-nephew.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Blackwell of Flat Rock, Illinois; two grandchildren, Brittany Kinney and husband, Ted and James Blackwell and special friend, Lance Carter; six great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Marty Hunter and wife, Ashlei and Terry Hunter and wife, Shelly; and son-in-law, George Blackwell.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
