Judy Kaye McCrory, age 75 of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Judy Kaye McCrory, age 75 of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born May 13, 1949, in Vincennes, IN to William “Jack” Thompson and his wife Mary Lou (Hayes) Thompson.
After graduating from Lawrenceville Township High School, Judy married John Morgan Mackenzie. He passed away at a very young age. She then met and married James Noble McCrory in Robinson on April 5, 1971. For 53 years, they enjoyed life together, raised two daughters, and made many beautiful memories. Her family was the center of her world…especially her three granddaughters.
Judy attended Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. She was a dedicated homemaker, had worked at the First Christian Church of Lawrenceville daycare, Suttle Apparatus, Lawrenceville Industries, and lastly as a Manager at the Lawrenceville Elks. Shopping was a hobby for Judy and loved taking care of animals.
Those left to carry on her legacy include: her husband of 53 years- Noble McCrory of Lawrenceville; two daughters- Christina Hess and husband Thomas of Vincennes, IN and Jacie Carter and husband Aaron of Lawrenceville; and three granddaughters- Nicole Hess of Vincennes, IN, Madison Jones and husband Ben of Vincennes, IN, and Sydney Carter of Lawrenceville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Funeral services will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
