Kathern Lucille Dale, age 97 of Robinson and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Robinson Rehab and Nursing.

Kathern Lucille Dale, age 97 of Robinson and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Robinson Rehab and Nursing. She was born in Iowa Park, TX on June 17, 1927, to Odin C. Craig and his wife Erma Vivian (Glosser) Craig.

On February 3, 1947, Kate married the love of her life, John Robert “Bob” Dale, in Bridgeport at the United Methodist Church parsonage. For 71 years, they were the epitome of love and dedication until his passing on June 11, 2018.

She was a long-time member of the Petrolia United Methodist Church where she was active as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed collecting antiques, Longaberger items, Beanie Babies, and anything else that struck her as interesting. She liked going to rummage sales, doing home renovations with Bob, refinishing furniture out in her garage, and taking care of her nieces and nephews. She truly had a nurturing way about herself and was a hard worker.

Relatives left to continue remembering Kate’s legacy include: her nieces and nephews and their families- Gary Rodgers, Sue Trosper and husband Bill, Docie Ferguson, and Debbie Wolfe and husband Greg.

She was preceded in death by: her parents- Odin and Erma Craig; her husband- Bob Dale; two sisters- Lora Hill and husband Wade and Maxine Rodgers and husband Glenn; three brothers in infancy; two nieces- Nannette Dale and Susan Rodgers; and two nephews- Glenn Allen “Bub” Rodgers and Denny Ferguson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow immediately at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Bridgeport City (Shiloh) Cemetery.
