Kenneth Ray Laughlin, age 83 of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born December 1, 1940, in Bridgeport to Walter and Martha (Brown) Laughlin. After graduating high school, Kenneth was drafted to serve his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army. Once he returned from his service, he worked in the oilfields in Michigan and locally. He was a life-time member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder. When Pisgah ceased to be an active church, he began attending the First United Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport. Kenneth was a life-time member of the American Legion, delivered Meals on Wheels, enjoyed playing cards with a group in St. Francisville, and his friends always held a special place in Kenneth’s life. Surviving family includes: his twin brother- Keith Laughlin and his wife Buttons of Bridgeport; one niece; one nephew; several cousins; and his extended family. Kenneth was preceded in death by: his parents- Walter and Martha Laughlin: one brother- Charles Laughlin: and one nephew- Brian Laughlin. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024, in Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Military rites will be given at the cemetery.
