Lisa Kay Akers, age 62 of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at her home.
Lisa Kay Akers, age 62 of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at her home. She was born October 8, 1962, in Lawrenceville to Wayne and Velma “Toots” (Patterson) Akers.
Lisa had previously attended the Free Methodist Church in Bridgeport with her family. She worked at the Workshop in Chauncey for quite a while…always coming home with interesting stories she shared with her family. One of her favorite things to do was going out to Sherry McFarland’s and horseback riding. Rainbow was her favorite mount and always put a smile on her face. Lisa had three special dogs that will miss her: Bailey, Sadie, and Scooby.
Those left to remember Lisa include: her sister- Pam Varner: numerous cousins: and Alvin Varner.
She was preceded by her parents, and several aunts and uncles.
No formal services are planned at this time. Cunningham-Young Funeral Home is assisting her family though their time of loss.
