Lucinda “Cindy” Marie Sechrest, age 67 of Bridgeport, passed Monday, December 25, 2023, in Evansville, IN at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
She was born November 25, 1956, in Mt. Carmel to Earl Pixley and his wife Emily “Jane” (Winter) Pixley.
Cindy married Edward “Dean” Sechrest on March 2, 1990. Dean preceded her in death on December 31, 2020.
For many years, Cindy worked at Champion Laboratories.
She is survived by: two brothers- Robert Pixley of West Salem and Wayne Pixley and his wife Pauletta of Olney: three step-children- Jim Sechrest of Hutsonville, Hank (Kim) Sechrest of Willow Hill, and Mandy (William) Flynn of Oblong: five step-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews with Shawn Sechrest and Stacey Hill being especially close to her.
Cindy was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a step-son -Ed Sechrest; and two brothers- Arthur Pixley and Carl “Sam” Pixley.
Cremation will take place and burial at Petty Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport is assisting the family during their time of loss.
