Mary Louise Welton, age 85, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on May 30, 1938 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil and Pauline (Bryans) Main. She married Morris Welton on October 12, 1968, and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1993. Mary worked for Gimbel-Bond in Vincennes for ten years, as the office manager for Vincennes Paper Mill for 20 years, and as the receptionist for Fifth Third Bank for five years. After retirement, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, and watching old television shows. She was a member of the Russellville Christian Church, and had attended the Rising Sun Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband. Survivors include one sister, Janet Lockhart of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three nephews, Mark Lockhart of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Dean Lockhart and wife, Jennifer of St. Francisville, Illinois, and Leonard Lockhart and wife, Stacey of Salem, Illinois; as well as three great-nephews and one great-niece, Jordan Lockhart, Shane Lockhart, Madison Lockhart, and Logan Lockhart.
