Steven “Joshua” Dillworth, age 49, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away at his home on Sunday, December 29, 2024, after a lengthy battle with his health.
Steven “Joshua” Dillworth, age 49, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away at his home on Sunday, December 29, 2024, after a lengthy battle with his health. Josh, as he was commonly known by, was born December 26, 1975 to Stevie and Debra (Holderbaugh) Dillworth.
Josh was an avid fisherman in his younger days and loved to do all sorts of woodworking. He spent 14 years as a Supervisor for Pacific Cycle out of Olney, IL and was transferred to their Savannah, GA location for the last 5 years of his career. He absolutely loved “island life” and was proud to call Wilmington Island, GA his home during that time. When his illness brought him back to Illinois, he spent the days he felt well with his many many nieces and nephews who lovingly nicknamed him “Uncle Gosh”, and being the best “pop-pop” to his two young granddaughters.
Josh is survived by his mother, Debra Dillworth, of Bridgeport, IL; his children, Kyneesha (Delmas) Allen of Evansville, IN, Lukus Dillworth of Lincoln, IL, and Hunter Dillworth of Olney, IL; and his siblings, Stephani (Brian) Carl of Lawrenceville, IL, Sara (Mike) Kesling of Olney, IL, Nicholas (Kaylie) Dillworth of Oblong, IL, Jacob (Ti’anna) Dillworth of Dieterich, IL, and Katrina Dillworth of Henderson, KY, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Stevie Dillworth, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Josh’s wishes were for cremation and a true celebration of life. That celebration will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025, beginning at 2:00pm at the VFW at 511 12th Street, Lawrenceville, Illinois. Any and all family and friends are invited to attend.
