Susan Elizabeth Peno, age 68 of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital of Vincennes, IN. She was born September 20, 1954, in Lawrenceville to Clell and Donna (Peerman) Peno. After graduating high school, Susan got an Associates Degree. She worked for Wabash Food Services for over 20 years and enjoyed her responsibilities as a Customer Service Representative and her co-workers. Susan enjoyed playing cards and board games, crocheting, having her pets, and watching Soap Operas. Surviving family include: three sisters- Becky Duncan of Bridgeport, Julie McCartney of Lawrenceville, and Mary Cleveland and husband Greg of Vincennes, IN: two brothers- Scott Peno and wife Becky of Effingham and Mark Peno of Lawrenceville: aunt- Carol Peerman: many nieces and nephews: several great- nieces and great-nephews: and her close friends- Brandi and Brian Opat and kids. She was preceded in death by: her parents- Clell and Donna Peno: one brother- Chris Peno: one brother-in-law- Charles “Frank” McCartney: and her two beloved puppies- Penni and Maggie. A visitation for Susan will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN from 10:00 am (CST) until 11:00 am (CST). A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. (CST) at the church. Burial will take place in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Cunningham-Young Funeral Home of Lawreneville is in charge of arrangements.
