
William Douglas Jacobsen was born in April 1952 to Robert and Ruth Jacobsen of Portland, Oregon. He in faith accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 8 years old and dedicated his life to his Lord.
He married Rose Marie Buchanan on January 9th, 1981, in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Doug and Rose lived in La Mesa, California for 23 years where they enjoyed the benefits of living on the coast near the ocean while raising their family. Doug was an entrepreneur and charismatic salesman for many years and operated several businesses. He enjoyed sailing and frequent camping trips with his family. Rose was a homemaker, and they spent time raising their four children faithfully for the Lord. Doug and Rose entertained frequently and enjoyed hosting family and friends and traveling frequently to enjoy fellowship with those gathered to the Lord’s name.
In 2004 Doug and Rose moved their family to Indio, California to pursue an occupation in real estate and enjoy clear warm weather. The desert was a real joy to Doug in his last years, where he frequently ministered the good news of God’s grace to anyone he came in contact with.
Doug and Rose were married 39 years on January 9th, 2020, and Rose went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 10th, 2020.
Doug married Beth Kilcup on September 29, 2023, and they lived in Tacoma, WA for a one and half years until Doug went home to be with His Lord and Savior after a prolonged illness.
Doug leaves behind his wife Beth and his four children; Daughters Brooke (Darren) Kulp, Heather (David) Blake, Abigail (Aaron) Sacks, and son JohnMark (Kathryn) Jacobsen. Doug is also survived by his two sisters, Sharon Huston and Sandra (Fred) Johnson.
Doug has five granddaughters and one grandson. He is preceded in death by his first wife Rose, and his parents Rob and Ruth Jacobsen.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday March 20, 2025 at 10:30am at the Buchanan Cemetery. There is no visitation.
