The Parkview Lady Softball Braves tried to come from behind late, but were nipped 6-5 by Fairfield in action Thursday at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville. The game was tied at 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning when the visitors scored 4 runs to take a 6-2 lead. But the Lady Braves cut the lead to 6-4 with two tallies in the bottom of the inning. They then scored a run in the bottom of the 7th to trail 6-5 and had the tying run on at 3rd base with only 1 out, but could not score. The loss drops the squad to 10-5 on the season with a home game scheduled for Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Alsman Field.
