It was a disappointing end to the regular season Wednesday night for the Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians. Visiting Louisville (North Clay) broke open a close game in the third quarter and went on to post a 56-40 win on Senior Night at Lawrenceville High School (LHS). The Lady Indians trailed 10-8 after one quarter and only 25-20 at the half, but were outscored 20-9 in the decisive third quarter to trail 45-29. They played better in the final quarter to cut the final margin to 16. Kenidee Boldt, the lone Lady Indian senior who was honored prior to the game, led in scoring with 14 points. The Lady Indians close out the regular season at 6-19 and will enter into first round play in their own Class 2A regional tournament Saturday. The 11th seeded Lady Indians will head to 9th seeded Cumberland Saturday at 10 a.m. The winner will advance on to meet 2nd seeded Mt Carmel in semi-final action Monday at 6 p.m. at LHS.
