An early morning traffic stop at the intersection of Western Avenue and Markley Drive on January 29th resulted in the arrest of a Plymouth man who said he was from Plymouth.

Officer Wallace with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near Western Avenue and Markley Drive at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

During the traffic stop, it was determined that the vehicle's driver, 37-year-old Anibal Cardena-Herrera, who had a booking address of Knox, was operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license.  Herrera was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  He was held on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
