County Drainage Board & Commissioner's meeting Monday morning

The Marshall County Drainage Board and County Commissioners will meet Monday morning at 8:30 and 9:30 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.    

The Drainage Board will consider maintenance bids for the Emma Kuntz reconstruction project, a project on the Sherman Emmons Ditch, the Elmer Seltenright Ditch, and the Redinger & Rohrabaugh Arm Ditches.

A public hearing will be held on the petition of Don Green for an obstruction of a private mutual drain and the board will consider an agreement with the Plymouth Park Department for a variance on the Elmer Sentenright for the Greenway Trail project.  Rob McClellan with Construction Management Design (CMD) is seeking a variance for the Schuh Ditch and board members will approve the 2025 meeting schedule and consider a transfer of funds for reconstruction. 

The County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 and hear the Highway Report, quarterly museum report, consider an MOU with the Blueberry Festival, and discuss the Culver Community School’s police department’s request for expanded jurisdiction.  Plan Director Ty Adley will hold a public hearing on the Burch request and a zoning map amendment.  Beau Holcomb from Community Corrections will present an alcohol monitoring system agreement, Chris Garner from the Neighborhood Center will discuss their needs for assistance in acquiring food and Anna Kietzman and Brent Martin will discuss the READI 2.0 Grant. 

The commissioners will also hear from Purdue Extension, the county attorney, county auditor, and public comments.
