Driver arrested for left turn on red light

A 25-year-old Justice, IL woman was arrested by city police after the officer observed her making a left turn on a red light. 

A 25-year-old Justice, IL, woman was arrested by city police after the officer observed her making a left turn on a red light. 

Wednesday morning, August 21, at approximately 7:30, Officer McIntyre with the Plymouth Police Department observed an SUV make a left-hand turn onto East Washington Street from Michigan Street while the traffic light was red.

The driver was identified as 25-year-old Evelin Dinora Zelaya-Aguilar from Illinois. After questioning Zelaya-Aguilar, it was determined that she did not possess a valid operator's license and had never been issued a driver’s license. 

At 8 a.m., Zelaya-Aguilar was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked for operating without a license. She was released on bond just before noon.
