Lyn Ward volunteered for The REES Theatre project from the beginning, through the fundraising process, construction, and even after it opened. Randy Danielson from The REES said of Ward, “She was a decorated hero of many local organizations.”
Her friends learned of the sad news of Lyn's passing on the 27th of December.
Donna Pontius from The REES said, “As you may know, she was a day one advocate for the return of The REES and because of the many unheralded volunteer hours she provided, it is complete for all to enjoy today. Every one of us may have a memory as to how she assisted in your own cause.”
The REES is hoping that organizational leaders and volunteers who worked hand in hand for the good of our community alongside the 2019 Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Lyn Ward will join others from across the Plymouth Community who wish to gather in her memory this Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at The REES.
Assisting others was one part of Lyn’s life, and her faith was another. A formal visitation and funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until noon.
This informal gathering at The REES on Thursday afternoon will allow those gathered to toast Lyn for her committed kindred spirit, willingness to advocate for others at any given time, and welcoming smile and sense of humor.
