Hell On Wheels: PETA’s Attempt to Show the Public

Last Friday, Plymouth was the target city for “Hell on Wheels”, a mobile campaign for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Throughout the mobile campaign, PETA’s “Hell on Wheels” makes stops at restaurants, food festivals, and busy downtown areas, urging people to go vegan.

During their stop in Plymouth, a truck depicting pigs on their way to slaughter stopped at WTCA, showing off the campaign. The truck has two speakers attached to the front, which blared loud sounds of pigs squealing on their way to slaughter. The message, “Does this bother you? Please, go vegan” was also printed on the truck’s side.

The pig truck is not the only vehicle, as a similar truck shows chickens on their way to slaughter. Following its stop in Plymouth, the truck headed to Chicago before heading to Fort Wayne. Following Fort Wayne, the truck will make stops in Ohio and Pennsylvania before going to Coney Island, New York.

This just goes to show, you never know what to expect on a Friday!
