Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the Days Inn at 6 p.m. Thursday  for a suspicious person climbing in the rear of a tree service truck.

Officer Lovely spoke with the suspect, William Becker, 32, of Kosciusko County, who claimed to be hallucinating and thought there were people trapped in the truck.

Becker was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Kosciusko County for failure to appear.  He was taken into custody and met at the county line with officers from Kosciusko County to transfer custody.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
