While on routine patrol Sunday, September 1st, just after 4 a.m., a deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle on U.S. 31.

The registered owner of the vehicle had a Habitual Traffic Violator status.

While the deputy was talking with the driver, 49-year-old Kevin Hall, he said the vehicle belonged to his brother and provided an ID card showing he was not the registered owner with the Habitual Traffic Violator status.

After the stop ended, Marshall County Dispatch advised the deputy that the driver had similar pending cases in other counties for producing the wrong identification claiming to not be the registered owner.

The deputy was able to locate Hall, who was the registered owner at the Pilot Truck Stop and took him into custody for driving while HTV status, identity deception and false informing. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
