Marshall County Police released details of a weapon's discharge near Argos on Sunday, December 1st.
A week ago, at approximately 9:20 at night, Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of State Road 17 and 10B Road about a weapon-involved call. The caller advised that a male subject punched him in the face, pointed a gun at his head, and then shot at the caller before leaving in a truck.
The suspect drove off, traveling southbound on State Road 17 from 10B Road. One of the county K-9 officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 9,000 block of Sycamore Road.
The driver was identified as 39-year-old John Klinedinst of Cindy Trail in Plymouth. He was suspected of being intoxicated by alcohol and drugs and was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test. Klinedinst was found to be over twice the legal limit of alcohol and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more, operating a vehicle while endangering a person, and battery resulting in bodily injury. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond and released Monday evening at about 9:40 after posting bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
