Saturday evening, March 15, at approximately 5 p.m., Plymouth Police Officers responded to the 700 block of West Harrison Street for reports of a male pulling a weapon on his neighbor.
Officer Lovely spoke to the caller and identified the suspect as Andy Koontz, 46-year-old of Plymouth. Koontz was found to have a blood alcohol level of more than .22%.
As a result of the officer's investigation, Koontz was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail with pending charges for felony intimidation, misdemeanor public intoxication, and criminal recklessness.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
